Then I felt stupid after learning what it is and how it can help your site and your readers. Real Simple Syndication is the proper name for Rss. It costs $0 for the site owner as well as the reader! For the site owner it helps them to gain readership and helps to insure return visitors to their site. Whenever your site gets updated anyone who is subscribed to your feed will be notified. So it's a win/win situation for both owner and reader! This is one of the ways to build your sites traffic. In my opinion it's very important to have an RSS feed option for your visitors.
